Family of Nazareth Movement

TESTIMONIALS OF THE MEMBERS.

I was baptized as a baby and as a young person I served God in the Guild of St. Stephen for about 12 years. In 1966 I was married. I was commissioned in the church as a Eucharistic Minister 20 years ago. I was in Charismatic Renewal between 1970-1980, during which time my life was committed to Jesus, my eyes were opened, and faith became "alive". In 1997/98, when groups were being formed, I was invited to a meeting of the F.N.M. Since then, my faith has taken on further dimensions of prayer, Adoration, study and contemplation of the Scriptures. I have a new understanding of Jesus, seeking the guidance of Mary his Mother in the ways of humility and service. Have also learned how to trust God in a more child like way "unless you become like these little ones you will not enter the Kingdom". Using the book 'Inquiring Faith' and other F.N.M. booklets, the spirituality of the Movement is beginning to bear more fruit in my life for the service of God and His Church
John, 59, U.K.

We met the Families of Nazareth Movement about ten years ago. For us it has really been a grace of God, although at the beginning it was not very clear because we were experiencing strong emotions that made us very happy. Our joy was the result of finding the presence of God's love among many people. Now we see very clearly that, although the emotions are not so strong, the teaching we have received really helps us, because only with the eyes of God can we understand some of the events in our lives and accept His will.
Maria and Jose, 45 and 47, Portugal

F.N.M. has changed my faith and my life. Holy Mary helps me to see how I hurt Her Son by following not His but my plans in life. I am only a tool in the hands of the Lord. He leads me back when I go astray from the path He has chosen for me. The more I pray and meditate the clearer are His plans.
Adam, 23, Canada

Accepting the Blessed Mother is my only way to Jesus. God's Mercy through communion of life with Mamma Mary is very real, as She walks with me, in me and for me the path of humility and contrition. This is His gift, and my joy is full.
Cecille, 49, Philippines

Thanks to the Movement I was able to learn that the great wish of God the Father is that "We all become saints" in spite of our misery, He gives us Mother Mary as the fastest and easiest way to unite with Him.
Carmen, 42, Venezuela

An attempt to live in communion with Mother Mary became my only possible way. The F. N. M.'s teaching helped me to discover the painful truth about myself and, at the same time, showed the way of salvation, God's merciful love. As a monk, I experienced the grace of spiritual direction, which in turn, allowed God to start to use me as a spiritual director.
Fr. Bernard, Franciscan Capuchin, 40, Salvador

A few years after our marriage, we experienced how fragile our life is. In pain and in illness, at the edge of life and death we opened our hearts to Mother Mary. It was She who brought us to F.N.M. using doctors, priests and families devoted to Her. Through Her also, Christ gave us the grace of spiritual direction which is indeed a great help on the way to sanctity. We want God to organize our life, and it is always a dynamic and greedy one. We long for Heaven for ourselves and others but being in the F.N.M. we realize that it is we who keep Him from sanctifying us.
Marek and Edyta, 39 and 36, Poland

I have been with the F.N.M. for 11 years. I have noticed that to be able to live this spirituality, I need to ask God for the grace to live the poor means of this spirituality and to keep them alive in my heart. It is very important for me, when I go to the weekly meeting, to pray to God for the precious grace that He gives me to be able to live my everyday life according to His will. To be able to do this I have to invite Mary into my heart, asking her to beg for the graces that I need for every day. Life has a different meaning and although it can be very difficult, my heart is at peace and I can take as a special gift from God difficult graces (test of my faith) for my own sanctification and the sanctification of others.
Gloria, 49 U.K.

The F.N.M. has taught me to view my faults as a springboard into the arms of Christ. Indeed, they are important cracks through which God's grace will penetrate and cause incredible things to take place in my life and the lives of all my family members and beyond!
Walter, 47, USA

The F.N.M. is a way which has helped me to deepen my priesthood when living under the control of Mary as Christ did for 30 years.
Fr Jose Miguel, 36, Mexico
